Covington 8 Inch Grinder Polisher
The Covington 8 Inch Grinder Polisher is the perfect addition to any lapidary workshop. With its powerful 1/2 hp motor and heavy-duty ball bearings, this grinder polisher is built to last. The rustproof aluminum-topped Lam-I-Cushion base ensures that your machine will remain stable and sturdy, while the adjustable cab and wheel rest allow for easy customization to your specific needs.
This machine features two 8" x 1-1/2" metal-bond diamond grinding wheels (100g & 220g) and two 3" x 8" diamond cloth belts (325g & 1,200g) to help you achieve the perfect finish every time. The 8" expandable drum and 8" aluminum head for polishing make it easy to work on a variety of projects, from shaping rough stones to polishing your finished pieces.
The water valve takes 1/4" OD plastic tubing for gravity water flow or 1/4" copper tubing for pressure systems. Spray nozzles under the hood wet the entire wheel face.
The Covington 8 Inch Grinder Polisher also comes with a 5-gram syringe of 50,000 mesh diamond compound and a 2-ounce bottle of extender fluid, providing you with all the materials you need to get started. Additionally, the sample kit, including polish powder, brush, dop sticks, and wax, ensures that you can experiment with different techniques and materials.
This machine is built with heavy-duty powder-coated aluminum castings, a hood, and a belt guard, making it both durable and attractive.
